College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia

Bylaw Amendments Update

May 25, 2018

As you will recall, In December 2017 the CTCMA board approved several amendments updating Parts I and II of the College’s bylaws, the first substantial amendments since June 1999 when the original bylaws were approved.

The new bylaws have been officially filed with the Ministry of Health and came into force today, May 25, 2018.

The interest demonstrated on the part of registrants, requests for clarification, and suggestions received over the past few months regarding the amendments have been very valuable and are greatly appreciated.

Quite apart from their value in allowing the College to stay current as the legislation and regulatory best practices evolve, these new bylaws further demonstrate our commitment to self-regulation and to our mandate to act in the public interest.
