June 16, 2006 - 10th Anniversary Celebration Dinner In recognition of the 10th Anniversary of the profession in British Columbia, a celebration dinner was held by CTCMA on Friday, 16 June 2006 at downtown Vancouver.
More than 170 guests coming to this event. A number of special guests, representing the government of Canada, Senator Mobina Jaffer; the People¡¦s Republic of China, Dong Sheng Bai, Consul of Commerce and Bin Yan, Consul of Culture; the government of Hong Kong, Catherine Yuen; the City of Vancouver, Councilors, George Chow and Raymond Louie. In addition, Stephen Owen, MLA Vancouver-Quadra; Carole Taylor, the Minister of Finance, BC Government; Ida Chong, Minister of Community Services; Richard Lee, MLA, North Burnaby; Jenny Wai Ching Kwan, MLA, Vancouver-Mt. Pleasant; Vancouver Mayor, Sam Sullivan, supporters of the CTCMA have sent their best wishes. People came togather to honour those who have given so much of their time and effort to the benefit of the organization and its Registrants, along with those who shared the vision and the strength to bring the profession from behind closed curtains to stand beside all other Health Professionals. The gathering also thanked Mr. Stanley Nicol, the current Registrar for his dedication over the past two years, and a special tribute was made to Dr. Ting Ting Jiang, who¡¦s place in the history of the CTCMA.
