Starting from December 2007, CTCMA mandatory safety course will be held in the form of distance education. The course material will be mailed to candidates upon receipt of application forms & required fees; you must pass required online assessments to complete the courses.

Please note that different safety courses are required for different titles:
Titles Required Safety Course
Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac.) Acupuncture Safety Course
Registered Herbalist (R.TCM.H) Herbology Safety Course
Registered TCM Practitioner (R.TCM.P) Acupuncture and Herbology Safety Courses
Registered Doctor of TCM (Dr.TCM.) Acupuncture, Herbology and Doctor Safety Courses.
