Notice is hereby given that the 2018 Annual General Meeting of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturists of British Columbia will be held:
- Sunday October 21, 2018, 10:00am – 04:00pm
- Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport
8181 Cambie Road, Richmond BC
The AGM is conducted in accordance with the provisions set out under the Health Professions Act, the College Bylaws and the Convention Standing Rules. The following matters must be considered:
- Financial statements
- Report of the board, and
- Report of the auditor (if any).
Registrants, members of the public and College staff are welcome to attend the AGM. Those unable to attend in person have the option of participating by webcast—details below.
2018 AGM Schedule
A proxy identifies someone else whom you authorize to vote on your behalf if you are unable to attend the AGM. A proxy must be in writing and must be signed by the person granting the proxy as well as the proxy holder. Note that in accordance with CTCMA Bylaw 39 (6) & (8) the form of proxy must be completed and delivered to the CTCMA registrar at least six (6) days prior to the AGM, that is, by October 15, 2018.
For this year’s Seminar we are honoured to welcome Bradley Chisolm to speak on professional regulation including some of the trends and changes that will affect the governance of regulatory bodies in BC. Registration begins at 08:30am and seating is limited. Note that Continuing Education (CE) Credits will be accorded to Seminar attendees, as well as to attendees of the AGM. Credits for time attended will not include breaks during the session.
As always there is ample parking available at the Hotel from 08:00am – 05:00pm. See the attached map and be sure to park only in the complimentary Blue Zone as shown.
This year, for the first time, the AGM will be webcast for the convenience of those who are unable to attend in person and we look forward to welcoming Registrants from around the province.
The webcast will be able to accommodate up to 499 participants and will begin at 10:00 am on October 21, 2018. Please note, anyone participating by webcast will be able to observe only. You will not be able to ask questions or vote on motions. You will be able to participate by webcast on the day of the event by clicking here.
