Ganglin Yin has been a CTCMA registrant since year 2000. Not only a skilled and sought-after practitioner, Dr. Yin is also a well-known educator with four books on acupuncture and herbology to his credit, including Advanced Modern Chinese Acupuncture Therapy published in 1999y.
Dr. Yin is a registered acupuncturist and Dr.TCM, maintaining his clinical practice at Oshio College of Acupuncture and Herbology in Victoria where he is a principal. He obtained his training at the Hunan University of Chinese Medicine (HUTCM), becoming Associate Professor of Acupuncture at HUTCM from 1985 to 1992.
From 1993 to 1996, he became chief doctor in HUTCM’s Chinese Acupuncture-Massage Specialist Group and clinic, in Russia. Moving to British Columbia in 1997, Dr. Yin served for two years as professor and academic dean of Victoria’s International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2000, his reputation took him to the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where he served as faculty dean.
With over 20 years of clinical practice and teaching experience around the world, Dr. Yin is committed to serving the public interest and we are fortunate that he has chosen to settle here in BC. His working experience and skills will be of great value to the CTCMA Board, serving our mandate of public safety.
