IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR OCTOBER 2023 PAN CANADIAN EXAMINATIONS – 2023-07-04
Return to In-Person Testing Centers for Pan-Canadian Examinations
We are writing to provide an important update regarding the Pan-Canadian Examinations (PCE) administered by the Canadian Alliance of Regulatory Bodies of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists (CARB-TCMPA).
Online proctoring was initially introduced at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure continuity of service for candidates writing the PCE. As of October 2023, to preserve the integrity and security of the examinations, the Acupuncturists, TCM Herbalists, and TCM Practitioners exams we will be returning to an in-person format at computer-based testing centers. This change is expected to reduce the number of technical issues experienced by candidates, minimize test taker anxiety, and ensure the timely launch of examinations at each testing center.
Examinations will take place at the following locations across Canada:
Fort McMurray Red Deer
Prince George Victoria
Fredericton Saint John
|Nova Scotia||Halifax Sydney|
Kingston St. Catharine’s
Markham Thunder Bay
|Prince Edward Island||Charlottetown|
All examinations will still be offered in three languages: English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. If you require any in-person testing accommodations, please download and complete the Request for Accommodation Form and Verification of Candidate’s Condition Form, and submit your forms to [email protected].
During the application processing stage, CTCMA will contact all applicants/candidates regarding the testing location choices. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact CTCMA at [email protected].
