The 2023 Registration Renewal period runs from February 24 to March 31, 2023
The CTCMA registration year runs from April 1st to March 31st.
To ensure your registration continues without interruption, you are required to renew your registration every year. Even if your initial registration was obtained less than a year ago, you will have noted that it expires March 31st. Along with all other registrants, you are required to renew by March 31, 2023. This will ensure that all registrants end up on the same renewal schedule. All registrations end on March 31 every year.
The upcoming renewal period will begin Friday, February 24, 2023
and end Friday, March 31, 2023.
Information for Registration Renewal is available on the CTCMA website. Current registrants will receive additional information allowing them to get prepared for their renewal. You will have a full 5 weeks to renew, but please consider logging in to the CTCMA Registrant Portal during the first few days of the renewal period and get your renewal confirmation early. Renewal deadline is required to be met to stay registered with the College.
Registration renewal is a process for current registrants to renew their current status and title only. Those wishing to transfer their registration status are required to submit a separate application.
For example, should a current full registrant in Practising (P) status wish to transfer to Non-Practising (NP) status, this registrant may not simply ‘renew’ but must submit a separate “Registration Status Transfer” application first to successfully transfer from P to NP status before renewing the NP registration for the next registration year.
Further details and the forms required are available here: Change of Registration Status.
The processing time for registration and other applications during renewal period.
During the annual Registration Renewal period, applications for initial registration, status transfer, and reinstatement will likely take 8-12 weeks to process rather than the typical 8 weeks at other times of the year. Applications with missing documentation and/or more unique circumstances may take additional time to be processed by the College.
Applicants seeking initial registration or are encouraged to submit applications to the College before or after the Renewal Period.
As noted above, applications for “Registration Status Transfer”, can be submitted and processed as long as registration has not expired and will remain valid for long enough to allow for processing and successful approval. Former registrants are required to submit “Reinstatement” applications to request to be registered again.
